Poptropica Worlds: Mystery Items Revealed

Hiya, Silver Wolf here with some news about the Poptropica Worlds mystery items!

Remember the silhouettes of these items from Worlds that the Creators showed us throughout the past month to get us excited for Poptropica Worlds?

PW Mystery Silhouettes

Skinny Moon has now posted the answers to what those mystery items are, so let’s check them out and see how close we were!

The first item was released on May 3rd, and over on the Poptropica Creators’ Instagram, it looks like a lot of people thought it would be a belt. PHB author Lucky Joker theorized in his post that it would be a belt or headgear.

The second item was revealed on May 11th and guesses ranged from a time machine to a techno backpack, including Lucky Joker’s theories that it was either an egg or boulder.

The last item, posted on May 18th, was the most mysterious of all and got a lot of people thinking what it was. Was it a throne? Time machine? Tiki mask? Arcade machine? Along with these speculations, Lucky Joker thought that it would be an armoire, playable arcade cabinet, or pedestal.

And here are the answers: the first one is the magnetic belt used on Crisis Caverns, the second is a chthonian egg from Crisis Caverns, and the third and last one is an arcade machine for your house (sadly not playable). You could say LJ was pretty lucky in his guesses!

I had no clue what most of these were before playing Poptropica Worlds, so props to everyone who got them right! The arcade machine stumped me in particular. Did you figure all of them out?

Thanks for reading, and that’s all for now!

Popspiracy: What’s Behind Those Closed Doors?

doors popspiracy

Hiya, Silver Wolf here with some theories on what’s behind our house’s doors in Poptropica Worlds! This idea was introduced by commenter Silver Bear, who asked what’s behind the doors and how to get into them.

The doors are most likely going to be expansions of the house, but the exciting part is what type of expansions they will be.

Common Rooms? Party at your house!

One of my first theories is that we could have our very own common room! We could choose from templates of common rooms and change them whenever we want. The templates could look like regular rooms of a house, common rooms from other islands, or anything! Like regular common rooms, there could be multiple servers of the common room so it wouldn’t get too crowded.

I especially think that tribe common rooms would be available since they were already separate and not tied to an island in Poptropica. Updated with the new graphics and art style, they could be really cool and could be expanded even further than before. Since they’re in our house, maybe we could even decorate them further just for us to view without affecting what others see.

A similar idea is that we could even design our own multiverse. We could decorate the room how we please and, when ready to invite over friends, click a button to create a random code so that they can join. The multiverse could end when the person who created it leaves, logs off, cancels the code, or becomes inactive for 10 minutes or so.

Trophy Rooms? Show off your stuff!

A simpler but more realistic theory is that the rooms could hold different types of items from islands. I think there will be a trophy room in particular because why else would Poptropica Worlds switch from coins and allow the trophies to go in our house? I mean, we’ll have a lot of trophies eventually.

A room could also be a gallery that holds our photos taken when we play islands, and we could choose what photos to put up and switch them around the way we want.

As for ways of opening the doors, the simple solution would be to use coins or Membership, but there are plenty of other ways we could open them too. I think that for at least one we could finish a special quest to open the door; the quest could even be specifically just for opening it. The doors may be able to be opened by completing islands in a certain time frame depending on their length and difficulty as well. For example, Skullduggery would have a longer time frame than Early Poptropica.

My last theory is that the Creators will scatter items or secrets across islands that we have to collect to open one of the doors. Maybe to open the door we have to learn some of Poptropica’s long lost secrets and history to get an ancient key.

When will these expansions come? Well, it’s taken well over a year — that we know of — for them to release Poptropica Worlds. That makes me think that these won’t come anytime soon, especially customizable multiverses. Maybe in a month they will release a regular room expansion for coins, but I think that anything more complex would take a really long time; after all, there aren’t even any social features yet, and there’s only one island so far that we can complete.

That’s all for my theories on what’s behind the doors! Feel free to add your own theories in the comments!

My Place in Poptropica: Silver Wolf

I (Silver Wolf) have been blogging on my own site, Poptropica Tips For Poptropicans (PTFP), since 2013, and have recently joined the PHB team as an author. It seems appropriate that I share my own My Place in Poptropica post to introduce myself to all of you. For details on sending in your own MPIP story, see the bottom of this post!

2008-2009 | Exploring Poptropica

I think 2008 was the year that I first discovered Poptropica, and for some reason, I remember the exact moment very clearly. It was after school, and my friend wanted to show me a game they had found from FunBrain. Of course, I followed them into their mom’s office and saw on their screen a game called — you guessed it — Poptropica! My friend had already completed some islands and told me that I should play too. Back then, there were barely any islands – in fact, there was only one page on the map!

For awhile, I was pretty invested in Poptropica, but I was also very young. Spy Island was a bit too hard for me in particular, and I had to get help from my brother and dad. I even printed out the official Decoder Kit! I wasn’t familiar enough with the Internet back then, either, so I didn’t know you could look up how to complete islands. I actually think that’s what my brother did instead of doing them himself. 😛 Sadly, I’ve since lost all my old Poptropica accounts. I was never a member back then, and quickly moved on to other games.

2012-2013 | Beginning to Blog

I rediscovered Poptropica a few years later, and only a few days after that day, I decided to create a blog: Poptropica Tips for Poptropicans (PTFP)! I’m not sure what was going through my mind when I did that, but I knew that I wanted to start one. The whole process of creating it was ridiculously quick.

I remember the first blog I found, which ultimately inspired me to create my own, was Icy Comet’s Blog. I’m not sure what made me decide to click that one out of the many that popped up on my Google search, but maybe if I had clicked another one, I wouldn’t be here today.

I started the PTFP in late December of 2012, so I don’t think it was until 2013 that I discovered the Poptropica Help Blog. Besides my own, the PHB has been the blog I’ve been most active with.

At some point in 2013, I joined the Poptropica Help Chat (PHC), which was on Xat back then. I soon became a moderator and was on there almost daily for over two years! Since I was in middle school, I had a lot of free time and posted very, very frequently on my blog and chatted on the PHC almost constantly. I made a lot of great friends, most of whom I’m still friends with on the PHC now, including Spotted Dragon, Rue, and Obiwan.

2014-2016 | Getting Busy, But Remaining Thankful

For the next three years, I was busy in many ways. School became harder, I gained more friends online and offline, and when I had free time, I created a lot of new pages and posts on the PTFP. I also posted a lot on another blog with my close friend Spotted Dragon, Adventure Time Pop, which is sadly no longer active. For a while, blogging was going really well, but slowly old authors started leaving and I started to post less. Trust me, I still cared about it a lot, and I still care now, but I did lose a lot of motivation. Around this time, I also started up the PTFP’s Twitter and my own DeviantArt.

One of the things I’d like to point out in this section is that I owe a lot of my blogging career to other people. My biggest thank-you is for Spotted Dragon, who has been with me since the very beginning, and we’ve basically done everything together. But there are so many others who have gotten me here! Some whom I can think of at the top of my head are: Perfect Dolphin, Samwow5, Starving Cereal (SC, or as I knew him, Sticky Clown), Cool Smarticle, Nameless Undefined, Tough Spider, and Brave Sky. Thanks to all of you, the PTFP’s current authors, and everyone else that has been with me!

2017 | The Future Awaits

What has happened in 2017? Hmm…let me think… Oh, I’m just kidding, I know the answer: getting invited to the PHB!

I have been content with just my own blog and a couple of others along the way, but still, being invited to the PHB has been one of my biggest dreams since 2013. At one point, I even subscribed to get emails for all the comments on the PHB… yeah, that only lasted a couple of months (unsurprisingly, there are a lot!).

It’s taken a lot of work to get here, but it was worth it, and I can’t wait to see what else happens in the future. I’m more motivated than ever, and I’d like to thank Slanted Fish for letting me join. 🙂

If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading!

The Silver Lining: A New Author Shines Through

Hiya everyone!

I’m Silver Wolf, the newest author on the PHB, but you can call me Wolfy. I’ve been blogging for over four years now, and I’m super excited to join the other great authors here on the PHB!

I started playing Poptropica way back when I was in elementary school and I remember when there was only one page of islands on the map. I didn’t even know guides/walkthroughs existed at that point!

It wasn’t until 2012 that I truly discovered the magic of the Internet and decided to start my blog, Poptropica Tips for Poptropicans. I’ve been playing Poptropica, blogging, and visiting the PHB ever since!

Although Poptropica is up there in my lists of interests, I have a lot of others as well. I’ve always loved animals — I mean, my name is Silver Wolf after all — and I’ve been a vegetarian for around three years. Ironically, I chose a canine for my name despite my favorite animal being a feline. 😛 I’m big into reading (like Harry Potter) and video games (like Overwatch, Elder Scrolls, and Life is Strange). I also share my photography and drawings on my DeviantArt.

Anyway, I’m thrilled to be here, and you’ll see more of me here soon!
