- Poptropolis Games Island is Poptropica’s 27th island. The countdown started on May 17, 2012, and it was released on May 24 for members with no demo. It was opened to all on June 14, 2012. This was the same year as the 2012 Summer Olympics. The items from this island now say “Poptropolis Games 2012.” It may rise again in the future…
- Though this island is supposedly submerged in the ocean, you can still visit it by clicking on the link to the Poptropolis Games on the Poptropica Ad Transporter tool.
- “Poptropolis” may have been one of the original names for Poptropica. The domain Poptropolis.com has been owned by Poptropica’s company, Pearson, since 2007, the year Poptropica first launched.
- Starting from December 21, 2012 (supposedly the “end of the world”), the Poptropica Creators’ Blog reported that Mews Foundation seismologists were detecting tectonic activity on the island. Over the next few weeks, more shaking was reported, and it was confirmed that the island would sink forever by January 24, 2013, which it did. However, it may return again one day.

- The Poptropica Store gold card item “Balloons” contains a Poptropolis Games balloon.
- Along with the release of the island came the Tribes feature, in which you can pick a tribe to represent, get a jersey with your tribe’s colors, and compete against the other tribes.

no when you chose a tribe there’s a tribe when you join a tribe you can talk to fellow tribe and talk about something and play games

There better be a tribe called Early Poptropica. That’s where I’m from. I also have a house in Counterfeit Island, but I’m scared of black widows, so it’s just my summer home.
Hey, ST, I thought you said you were born on Super Power island.
I was “born” in Super Power Island, but I stayed there for a few hours. We then moved to Early Poptropica, and I pretty much have lived there all my life, except I do go visit other islands. I never did like Super Power Island much, so I stay away from it.
This island seems kind of like a combination between the Olympics and the Hunger Games. Maybe that’s just because of the name…
I wonder what sort of tribes there will be. Maybe male vs. female? Maybe you get to pick your favorite animal or something? Maybe it’s even alphabetical!

I LOVE the Hunger Games series. All they got to do now is make something with fighting cats (Warriors) or with crazy hippogriffs (Harry Potter).
I have competed in the Poptropolis games, it took me four or five times but I eventually won the games.
