- Ghost Story Island is Poptropica’s 23rd island. The countdown started on December 12, 2011 and it was released on December 15 for members with a demo for non-members. It was opened to all on January 12, 2012.
- Prisoner 24601 is a reference to Jean Valjean from Les Miserables.
- Common room: Visitor Center
- Salt is believed to protect from evil spirits, as seen in one of the citizens on Ghost Story Island.
- This is the first time you hear a Poptropican speak, and it’s Fiona sneaking up behind you asking, “Are you looking for someone?” Many players have reported being scared by the sudden unexpected whispery sound!
- On November 21, 2011, a members-only Ghost Hunter Suit was released, but it had to be earned as a prize from the “Spook Central” mini-game. Several ghosts were scattered across Poptropica, and you were given a Plasma Net, Ghost Files, and an EMF detector to help you track them down. The Headless Horseman was on 24 Carrot, Sweet William’s ghost was on Shrink Ray, the Bell Witch was on Wild West, Deogen was on Steamworks, and the Brown Lady was on Skullduggery.

This is how to beat spook central:
Get in your blimp and fly towards the center of the map, and click on the bubble that says “play spook central now”. You’ll find yourself in a room with a female scientist working on a large machine. Talk to her, and she’ll tell you that some ghosts were accidentally set loose throughout Poptropica. She asks you to find them for her, and that she’ll make it worth your time. Then she gives you some things to catch the ghosts with: a log that shows you which island each ghost is on, a net to capture the ghosts with, and a device that flashes when you are close to a ghost.
After you talk to the woman (I think her name’s Daphne Dreadnaught), go look for the ghosts. The Brown Lady is on Skullduggery Island, main street. Sweet William’s Ghost is Shrink Ray Island, main street. Deogen is on Steamworks Island, in the museum. The Headless Horseman is outside the factory on 24 Carrot Island. The Bell Witch is inside the Trading Post on Wild West island. Use the detector device to see how close you are to each ghost.
*Non Members are stopped after you catch 3 ghosts*
After you catch all of the ghosts (you need to touch them with the net thing, the EMF or whatever it’s called shows how close you are), go back to Daphne’s lab. She says “Oh, you’ll get what’s coming for you”. Then she unleashes all the ghosts and tries to use them to con

You also forgot to add capitalization and punctuation. I’m going to take a wild guess and say that you are failing english class.
Poptropica stoper, you would get along well with my oldest sister. She doesn’t see the appeal. Strange. I like it, but she doesn’t. Also, Neat Coyote, just because someone isn’t using capital letters, it doesn’t mean they are failing english, just maybe they might prefer not to bother doing all that trouble. Also, poptropica stoper, I am a straight A student, and I play Poptropica all the time.

hey do someone know how to catch the ghost on spook central?
HOW TO CATCH GHOSTS OF GAME TAB:
|1. go to ur ghost story island tab on ur island items ( quicker if ur there already, it already shows)| |2.talk 2 the ladie and go to tab (shown in 1.) and activate net.| |3. once thats done. look for where the ghosts are on the folder (in items box) and look at different ghosts at different islands| THATS ALL FOR NOW!
i mist something, on 24 carrot island its factory for ghost (headless horse man) and i forgot the others. hope it helped!
note to invisible bees message… ur writing stoped when you finished writing ‘concer’ (or how ever its spelled) and heres the rest of the note,
she uleshes the ghostes and uses them to concer poptropica, you have to catch all ghosts and you have 1 minite to do it! after that, get the suit and ur done
Curses, curses, curses. I am a member and I am completely stuck on the actual island. I just gave the Hemlock Herald the ghost evidence and deposited the $50 dollars. I saw the ghost and now I am stuck. What do I do now?

Please can you tell me what to do when you received the mission in Spook Central but you don’t want to do the mission?
I’m just scared of ghosts, even fighting! I don’t want to play the whole game thingy, I am bored of ghosts. Please tell me how to cancel the mission! :{
I think this island was amazing, but I do wish the Creators had focused a bit more on horror, rather than romance. Though of course, they do have to think of the six year olds.
Overall, I think I likey a lot.
Um, 8.5/10 because it was decently long, had a surprise ending, and annoying/awesome sound effects.

I’m stuck! The thermometer didn’t work! I did everything… I went to the prison, level H and gave the Warden his hot cross buns… I planted the thermometer on the wall of the lighthouse! NOW WHAT?!
