There are so many fun things to do on Poptropica – you probably just haven’t tried them all yet! See how many items on this list of 101 boredom-busting Poptropica activities you can check off – great for when you’ve got nothing else to do while you await the next island’s release.
- Jump on every windowsill at Main Street, Time Tangled Island. See how many you can jump on without falling off. (Note: If this is too challenging for you, try the windowsills on Poptropica Towers, Early Poptropica Island. It might be easier.)
- Make the crab on Main Street, Time Tangled Island, burst by clicking on it over and over again, as fast as you can.
- Keep trying to chat with the same player in a multiplayer room until they leave.
- Use the randomizing glitch (Ctrl + Shift + R) to change your outfit. Remember, it’s random! (Note: Do not try this if you do not wish to lose your current outfit.)
- Swing on the wires at Main Street, Time Tangled Island. When you get bored with that, try it with the clothes lines on Poptropica Towers, Early Poptropica Island.
- Knock down all the flowerpots on the windowsills of Poptropica Towers, Early Poptropica Island. You can also go to Down Town, Super Power Island and knock down the statues on the gray-stoned skyscraper.
- Get an extra Hot Dog for your inventory from the hot dog seller at City Park, Super Power Island after you complete the Super Power Island Quest.
- Get an extra bottle of Carbonated Coconut Milk for your inventory from the guy outside of the Coconut Cafe at Main Street, Shark Tooth Island after you complete the Shark Tooth Island Quest.
- Visit the bathrooms of both genders in Super Power’s City Park (boy/girl) by using a boy Poptropica account and a girl one. (Note: There is not much of a difference between the two rooms. Also, do not try this if you do not wish to lose your current outfit.)
- Read all the comic strips in the Klassic Komix store on Main Street, Big Nate Island. (If you want to read more, there’s plenty on Comics.com under the ‘Big Nate’ section.)
- Read the Roald Dahl book excerpts in the Wonka Factory Outlet on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Island, Main Street. There’s even some unpublished content in there you can check out!
- Just type/write a journal, and pretend that your character is an explorer that is searching for discoveries. Good islands to go to are Nabooti, Astro-Knights, and Shark Tooth. Have fun! (By Bony Moon)
- Go inside the Klassic Komix store on Main Street, Big Nate Island. Jump down the stairs and walk left, and you’ll see a chalkboard titled Oodles of Doodles. Hold down your mouse and trace anywhere on it, and have fun drawing a cool picture!
- Go inside the School Picture Guy’s building on Main Street, Big Nate Island. Walk right and hop onto the stool. Take a picture of your character by posing your character there, then pressing the PrtSc button on the keyboard. Open up an image editing program, such as Microsoft Paint, and press the Ctrl + V (Paste) buttons. Then save it on your computer by pressing the Ctrl + S buttons!
- Play Mancala against the old man guarding the cave at Mountains of the Moon 1, Nabooti Island. See how many times you can win against him!
- Get the Viking suit from Time Tangled Island (Vikings’ time, the year 831). Check out our Time Tangled Guide for more information about obtaining this Viking suit from that tall cliff on the right side of the area.
- Make your Poptropican look like yourself in real life as much as possible. Especially try out different hairstyles, hair colors, skin colors, and glasses if you have any to see what fits you best.
- Raise your battle ranking by playing games in multiplayer rooms. Win as many games as possible, so you can improve your 5-star rank even more. (Tip: You can see how many times you have won/lost a game by going to your games inventory.)
- Fly off into space on your Astro-Knights Island rocket, go near the Jungle Planet (coordinates are 15, 15), and shoot some aliens! Use your Astro-Knights rocket to try to shoot at all the asteroids, sharks, aliens, and any other space obstacles out there! (Tip: Your rocket is on top of the Castle of Arturus.) - On Astro-Knights, visit Pewter Moon and re-design your spacecraft (rocket) until it looks just the way you like it!
- Visit the Masks & Capes building on Main Street, Super Power Island. Ring the bell on the desk by clicking on it, and you’ll hear a little ”ding” noise.
- Visit Big Zeke at the Safari, Nabooti Island and take some photos of different animals with your camera! Take a look at our Nabooti Guide for further information about obtaining a camera.
- Complete all of the island quests, and if you’ve already done that, restart an island by going to your Map and replay it! (See our Island Help guides for tips and walkthroughs.)
- Read The Mystical Weapons of Arturus, which is one of the books you should find in the Astro-Knights Island Castle Library. Because this book happens to be rather damaged, it will be more of a challenge to read! Also, read The Life of Mordred: A Cautionary Tale, which is the other book you can find in the Astro-Knights Island Castle Library. Admire the awesome drawings on each page.
- Draw your Poptropican (click here for a guide).
- Create a meme image describing a Poptropica Problem using our PHB meme generator.
- Chew on the ‘Pack of Stale Gum’ from Main Street, Big Nate Island (it was from the owner of the Klassic Komix store). You can blow bubbles with this gum almost anywhere on Poptropica!
- Play ‘Don’t Touch the Ground’ at the Poptropica Towers on Early Poptropica Island. Using a jetpack is cheating!
- Visit a museum (eg. Pop Art Museum on Early Poptropica) and perform an emotion that describes your opinion towards the model on display!
- Shoot coconuts into the water on Shark Tooth Island so there’s a clear line of coconuts and try not to leave spaces of water.
- Climb up the Party Tower on Main Street, Time Tangled Island and jump off the right side wearing the glider to see how far you can go without touching any buildings.
- At the Timbuktu Inn on Time Tangled, put the jigsaw puzzle together again.
- On top of the Great Wall of China on Time Tangled, play the follow-the-tile game (the one where you get the amulet from).
- Climb to the top of Mount Everest on Time Tangled.
- At Edison’s Workshop on Time Tangled, jump above the car while it is moving and try to land square on the seat.
- In your future sky home on Time Tangled, jump on the couch and see how many somersaults you can do while in the air.
- Dye your hair a different color in the Carrot King Diner on 24 Carrot Island, Main Street.
- In the Carrot King Diner, jump on the bouncy couches and try not to touch the ground.
- Take a shower in the old farmhouse on 24 Carrot, and be sure to sing if you have a mic from the Rock Singer costume in the Poptropica Store!
- Visit the criminals at the County Prison on Main Street, Super Power Island. While you’re there, why not make fun of them too?
- At the Super Power underground train station, squash the bugs on the dirty walls by clicking on them. Then visit the Reality TV Island motel and squash the bugs on those walls too.
- Fly throughout the Super Power Island city, getting close to buildings without touching them.
- In the Hair Club room on Spy Island, get on the stool on the top floor and pretend you’re the feature entertainer. Be creative – you could be a comedian telling a story, chatting with the other people (they could be your fans!) in the multiplayer room, making emotions, or playing an instrument from a costume you bought at the Poptropica Store!
- Hop across the wire at the top of the Spy Island Headquarters and jump onto the tower with the person who says, “Careful, it’s a long way down.” Jump anyway and see how many somersaults you can do or just try to perfect your falling technique.
- Ride the miner’s cart at the Nabooti Diamond Mine.
- Play Table Football in Big Nate Island’s Clubhouse and try to get a perfect score!
- Play Hangman in Big Nate’s Clubhouse and see if you can guess the word without getting any letters wrong.
- Race Big Nate to Sealsaw Rock on the jet skis!
- Go to the Photo Studio on Main Street, Big Nate Island and pretend you’re a model – try on different clothes and show off your best poses.
- Explore the outer space planets using your rocket, which should be waiting for you on top of the Castle of Arturus.
- Paint pictures at the artist’s easel on Main Street, Counterfeit Island.
- Play the computer game at the Web Cafe on Counterfeit Island.
- Come up with a different outfit to wear on each island, such as a superhero costume for Super Power Island. Mix and match outfits from the island’s native characters!
- Talk to all the non-player characters on Poptropica, like Ned Noodlehead on Super Power!
- Visit a common room and add a new friend!
- Meet up with real-life friends by going to the same Multiverse room and telling everyone the room code! (You will need: Multiverse item card from the Poptropica Store, which is free)
- Pretend you’re giving a tour of all the islands on Poptropica. Hit the F12 button on your keyboard to pull up a bar you can type into, and write what you’d say as the tour guide!

WARNING: SPOILER. weird thing on the chat glitch… I tried it on the information desk lady on ST. first, i had 2 ask her a question 2 get her to talk. When i was going to ask her a question, she repeated the information twice. Then, when i selected the question,she asked it. Weird, huh?

Another boredom buster: Try making your Poptropican look as much like one of your favorite TV show characters as possible. NO using costumes from ads (ex. the Alex Russo outfit from the Wizards of Waverly Place the Movie ad).
I made my character look like Ginny from Harry Potter before going to play Quidditch! All you need is a red and yellow footballer, the broom from the witch in the Haunted House and red hair!
Another thing is to give others in multiplayer rooms silly (not hurtful) nicknames based on their outfit. Use the F12 bar if you want to tell viewers in a video. Sorry if I’m wasting space.

I just ignore it when the costume-copying thing happens to me. Also, my character really is named Happy Horse! I got an almost-normal name! Hooray!!!!!!!!

I’ve only tried this out on Astro Knights Island in the Rumor Mill, but it’s pretty cool.

also another glitch: put on nuclear fusion (if you have) and go one of 2 ways::
NUKE YURRR MECH! (sit in it and get in and out until it have the green glow) :3
orrrr change it (take off nuke glowstick and replace it w/ item of choice) and then go to the RTV show and you’ll have it working w/o the nuclear glowstick~!(it doent appear out of this exept for costumizing and stuff.)
and if you do it with electrify it works too and changes the flame color
you can also go to wild west and see how much times you can win. my record is more than 60 times

You can also play don’t touch the floor on Counterfeit! Just bounce on the chairs. It’s really fun!
Wow! I really loved all the great cheats on this article. I’m having trouble taking my picture in the School Picture Guy’s place though! Also, if you get the Magician Costume and the Rockstar costume from the poptropica store you can be Slash, the guitarist from Guns and Roses while your hat does magic tricks! It’s really cool! Again, thanks a lot!
In Super Power island go in the subway and look for cockroaches on the wall. If you see them try to click on them. If you manage to do that your charachter will smash them!
That was really great! I loved all the cheats. They absoulutley busted my boredom! Also, if you get the Magician costume and the Rockstar costume, you can costumize the all of the magican’s costume except for the wand and costumize the guitar from the rockstar. If you do this, you will look like Slash, the guitarist from guns and roses. Then, press the spacebar and you will play the guitar and perform magic while you are at it. It’s really cool and fun! Thank you!!!

c) stand on the helicopter propellor thingy and try walking the treadmill…(when you are spinning round and round, try walking left or right to walk the treadmill)…then let go and watch the cool dance moves…

Woah! I was trying out the chat glitch on the goth girl in the Rumour Mille on AK and I started trying it out on other people there. I realized that it works on everyone in the Rumour Mille!
After you get the items of the gods in mtholgy island talk to somebody when you have a sword and Hades crown and press space. THen it is like you cut them into pieces

i have also 2 fun things to do with the new islands 1(for SD island): set a 10-minute timer and see how many doubloons you can get before the timer runs out 2(for M island): once you’ve beaten Zeus and have Poseidon trident, rapitly press space and if you do it so fast, you’ll mess up the thing!(you’ll be big but you won’t be glowing, and at normal size you will!)
In skullduggery island the broken barrel has a root beer barrel and when you click the keg root beer spills into the cup below it

i have two more things you can do! not sure if i should post this on cheat codes but anyway..
1. you should have posideon’s trident. press the space bar to activate the white sparkly thing then change your handheld item. you should keep the white without holding the trident! *THIS ONLY WORKS IN 1 ROOM=WHEN YOU CHANGE ROOMS YOU HAVE TO DO THIS OVER*
2. do the randomizing glitch until you have the football. like the costume you should be able to use the space bar! the other items from the randomizing glitch doesn’t work btw.

attachment.

3. Exit the mech (if you’ve entered it), and go to

4. Purchase the 3rd Birthday Baloon for free.
5. Return to Steamworks and enter the mech. Run
away from the pouint you entered it.
Congratulations! You’ve made your balloon float in air! Also if you exit the mech, your balloon will teleport to you. And, if you re-enter the mech immediatly after exiting it with the balloon, and try to shoot toxin, it will be invisible!

I have a boredom buster! It’s called poptropica tag. You go in a multiplayer room and start running and jumping around and try to get a poptropican to click you. If no one clicks on you you can try to meet up with another poptropican you know in real life and start a game of tag. Eventually more poptropicans will join in and soon you’ll have a big crowd of poptropicans trying to catch you! Just remember don’t stop running and jumping no matter what and if you see a poptropican running around they might be trying to start a game of tag so click on them. If your the one who clicked, don’t click again or else your poptropican will stop. I started one with this other girl and after about a minute, I had lots of poptropicans around me! Oh and if you want to start a game of tag, wear a bright outfit to get their attention. Please post this on the boredom busters because it’s really fun. I beat Skullduggery along time ago, Just wait until you get the 3rd ship, the BAM BAM BAM Shoot Cannons at Ships And Get the Map Pieces then when you have them all go to your item and click ”examine” A new island will then be revealed ,Then when you get the ”Koi” that’s when I started hiring crew, there’s not one on Golden Harbor, and the cargo master is useless. Then when you get the 4th ship, get a loan from golden harbor. Get the maximum loan. And with that ship (It should have 4 cannons) Keep defeating ships, if you are sinking press the back button QUICK QUICK QUICK!!!!!!!!! And you’ll be transported back to where you were before you set out to the sea. Finally,When you have a million doubloons ( Du-BLOONS) Go where the new island is (Bottom Left corner) and you’ll see a big ship. Luckily you have a crew so you can defeat him. when you do, go back to Fort Ridley and into the mansion. The governor will give you a shovel. Go back to the new island and dock. Go to the flag and walk six steps. Then use the shovel. After that Captain Crawfish will appear with his crew. He’ll say “NOW IT”S TIME TO CLAIM MY TREASURE” Then cabin boy will start shooting cannons at his ship.Then You’ll load up the treasure. And Captain Crawfish will say, “NOOOO DON’T LEAVE ME HERE!!! You’ll sail away, that cut scene is really beautiful. You’ll arrive at the governor’s mansion and will get the medallion. Steamworks is kinda between, y’know like medium. If you’re stuck on the plant monster part, Bump them, duck, then when they open their mouths shoot, simply shooting the toxic baster will not kill them. Make sure you do this 3 times.Make sure you don’t get toasted by the acid, which sounds good. I don’t think the Poptropica.com creators should take Skullduggery off of Poptropica. People are still doing it, and it’s a way to get credits, well just 50. I agree with you Beefy Seal, Skullduggery should be just a little easier, I agree with you too Golden Runner, at least we have Sprocket.

heres a cool glitch: 1.on spy island go through the teleporter to the low grav room. 2.put on your grappling bowtie. 3. keep shooting the ceiling with grapple until it gets thick in the gray part of the ceiling. NOTE: you need to be thick in the ceiling so when you get dragged back to your bowtie you wont fall. 4.drag your player left or right while hanging to ceiling and youll be floating around. i thought this was the best glitch on poptropica if u know how to do it good.
Once I was in the Arcade on Early Poptropica Island and I clicked on someone (I don’t remember who!) and it gave me the options to chat or battle. I clicked on, “Chat” and they gave me three choices of what to say, and they were, “This is the first default question”, “Now it is the second”, and “And The Third”. And it cracked me up. Then I tried to do it again and I couldn’t do it! LOL!

Purchase some cool outfits from the Poptropica Store or get some amazing outfits from islands and put them on and go inside a muliplayer room with people in it and some people will ask you some questions. Answer them. Then walk out of the muliplayer room and go to another one. Same. People will ask you some questions and answer them. Then, change your outfit. If you have the Costume Collector and its full, costumize one of them. Then show it to your friends. Then you will so popular. Try with some outfits. Those are it!
Got one! Go on Counterfelt Island, go into the Coffee Shop and play the game on those little computers

I have one! Get a tall, witch or wizard hat ( like the green witch’s hat on haunted house or the hat of the skin color changer). Then get a wand from either the magician costume or fairy queen costume and go to count Bram’s castle , before or after you defeat Bram, I haven’t beaten the island. Then pretend to be sorted into one of the hogwarts houses: Gryfinndor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin. I would personaly be in Ravenclaw. Then pretend to learn wizardy and witchcraft. Enjoy!

It’s a good thing, That means you have good style. To make people stop just wear a lot of store items. If you don’t have a lot just wear one costume. (I.E. Fairy Queen, Rockstar 1, wait they don’t sell that anymore, Popstar.) Or anything you get from an advertisement. If you have no store items, start passing some islands (Nabooti if you want to keep it easy Skullduggery if you want something really, really hard, and/or Staemworks for medium.)

I tried it, and it worked! Thanks for sharing that glitch with us. It’s pretty useful for some islands. Also, there is a glitch that can make you walk on one leg. If you have the free Skull Pirate costume, customize the peg leg. Then, try to customize anybody’s pants. You’ll be walking with one leg!

Visit any common room or Multiverse, and choose any random player there. Click on them and choose the “Chat” option, which will give you some questions you can ask them. They will be given some choices to answer back to you. Boredom buster #3 says to keep doing this until they leave.

I have one. After you finish Back Lot island, have the poperatse(sorry I can’t spell)ready then just let them chase you.Also, you can go to Night Watch island and play with the stuff at the JollyGift store and wait for the lights to turn off.
Openup another poptropica tab then have your poptropicains chase each other.
I have an idea for Great Pumpkin Island: In the Van Pelt house, try to jump from the couch, all the way from the desk.
After finishing Back lot island, let the paparazzi follow you into the street and let them get hit by cars. It’s pretty funny.

Stroll around the Twin Palms Mall in Night Watch island and do cool stuff in each store like tanning, customizing clothes, riding on kiddie rides and a lot more!
When you complete Back Lot Island, there’ll be some paparazzi following you at Main Street. Try to avoid them as long as possible!
